Dear Sir/Madam,

We are pleased to inform you that a research Project Competition AVISHKAR-2009, for UG/PG/Doctoral Students of all branches of Engineering & Technology as well as Pharmacy will be held at Sinhgad College of Engineering, Pune.
 
Following are Details
 
  1. This is stage-I (Zonal) competition.
  2. All Engineering and Pharmacy colleges can participate in the area of Pune district, includes Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad cities.
  3. It is scheduled on 14th and 15th December, 2009.
  4. This is for UG/PG/Doctoral Students of all branches of Engineering & Pharmacy.
  5. Five Entries per category i.e. UG, PG and Doctoral.
  6. Last date for sending the entries at Sinhgad College is 10th December 2009.

1. Projects can be in the form of live demonstration/models/posters and should be based on innovative ideas, in any given categories.
2. Each college/institution can send a maximum of two entries in all categories of –Engineering & Technology and Pharmacy irrespective of their levels (UG/PG/Doctoral).
3. There is no restriction on the number of students engaged in each of the team but one representative will present the project at the exhibition.
4. Last date for sending entries at Sinhgad College is 10th December 2009.
5. Final registration will be done at the venue on 14th & 15th Dec 09 at 9.00AM
6. Representative of the team and one accompanying person (guiding teacher or team member) will be provided local hospitality by the host institution.
7. All required basic infrastructural facilities like working space, electricity, water, tables, mounting boards, etc., will be made available. For any special requirement, if any, participants should inform the coordinator well in advance.
8. All entries should be forwarded through the Principal of the college/Head of the institution.
9. Registration is compulsory for all participants. There will be no registration fees.
10. Participants will be issued participation certificates from the University of Pune.
11. Mounting boards (poster display boards) of size 1m x 1m will be made available.
12. All contestants are expected to give an oral presentation about their project before a panel of judges appointed for the purpose.
13. Each oral presentation will be given 8 minutes for presentation and 2 minutes for question and answers.
14. The decision of judges will be final and binding on all participants.
15. All the winning and runner teams will be informed about their selection on the same day.
16. Winning teams will be selected for participation in the 2nd round held at University of Pune, Pune.
