1. Objectives:-
This event is designed to provide students with the imagination and planning skills needed to plan a township, a mall or any such civil engineering projects. The event is also beneficial  from Architectural point of view.

2. The Competition:-
The event is divided into two parts,

For Civil Engineering Students:-
The participants taking part in the competition are expected to plan for a township scheme in the plot having following mentioned specifications,

1) Plot size :- 1.5 Hector
2) FSI :- 1
3) There should be main approach road (8 m wide) on two sides along the boundary of the plot,  
perpendicular to each other.
4) The township should be planned with Apartments + Row Houses/ Bungalows.
5) The tenement density for the area is 150 families per hector (with Avg. person per family 4)  
6) The township to be designed for high income and middle income group.
7) Total open space = 15% of plot area minimum
8) Total area for amenities = 10 % of the plot area minimum
9) Total area for internal roads = 15 % of the plot area minimum

Drawings to be submitted:-
1) Site layout
2) Floor plans of building and row houses/bunglows. (Separate plans to be drawn in case of G+1 structure of bunglows and row houses).  
3) Elevation of any one structure ( Apartment/row house/ bunglows)
4) Foundation layout for apartment.
5) Drainage + water supply layout. ( Internal under ground water tank to be provided to serve for whole township, design and capacity to be assumed with considering 150 lit/capita)

For Architectural Students
Design a Cultural Centre to the needs of the Citizens, which will act as the cultural Hub. The cultural centre will house facilities related to visuals and performing arts. A plot of 140M x 60M size located in commercially developed area is reserved for the project. The plot is accessed by 30M wide road on 140M long south side. You have to provide design solution to the project, which will become landmark of the city.
    The Space Requirements:
Note :- figures to the right indicate carpet areas in square meters.               
Adequate areas for the passages, lobbies, porch, stairs, lifts, services and toilets wherever required should be added.

  1. Side margins 6.0 M  from all sides.
  2. 10% of plot area for open space, which may be provided with interesting landscape or used as outdoor sculpture display.
  3. Maximum permissible height is 15M.
  4. Maximum ground coverage 50% of plot area.
