RULES WITH TERMS & CONDITIONS

Website is to be designed with JavaScript/XHTML.

* It should pass W3C/XMTML.

* CSS must be used for both presentation & layout.

* Various softwares like Macromedia Flash, Adobe Photoshop etc can
be used for animations, images.

* You should provide a LOGO for the Website you have designed.

* Provide name for design to help identify it during judging.
(.html) as extension.

    * The website must be compatible with the major browsers namely,
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 & above, Mozilla Firefox.

    * Short movie clips that are compatible with the
mentioned plug-ins is allowed. The movie clips must be
accessible from the website.

* Shockwave, Windows Media Player, Dynamic HTML, animated GIF’s
, Flash (.flv and .swf), QuickTime Player and Real Audio,
are allowed. CGI, PHP, ASP, Cold Fusion, Java and other server     
side scripting programmings are not allowed to be used.

* Websites must have a minimum of 4 web pages. One home page  
design only.

* File and folder names should be in small letters and should not
contain spaces to prevent linking problems. You are advised to
evenly spread the content on the web pages.

  

TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

 

* Maximum 2 eligible members per team.

* A maximum of three entries is allowed per student or team.
For each entry there would be separate fee.

 

 

* Entries that contain Designs those are copied and pasted
directly from other sources will have their team disqualified.

* Team has to submit their designs before 1st March 2008.
Designs & entries will not be accepted thereafter.

* Teams can submit their designs through e-mails or write it
in a cd and submit it to us. Notify us accordingly.
Also submit with HTML document a word document which includes   
info about the software requirements & abstarct of the design.

* From these teams, some would be short listed depending on the no
of entries who will have to present their designs in front of the
judges on the event day.

* All decisions by judges are final and no correspondence will be
entertained.

* Any general topic allowed.

 

Prizes:
1st prize-Rs.2000 + vouchers
2nd prize-Rs.1000 + vouchers.

Single member-Rs.50/-
Two members-Rs.80/-
