Bravura 2014
Pharmacy colleges under the aegis of STES organized a Pharma Tech Fest: Bravura 2014. The idea to organize this Pharma Tech Fest: Bravura 2014 for Pharmacy students was initiated by Vice President (Admin) Ms. Rachana Navale madam. Under her guidance, motivation and help we organized this event from 4th Feb to 6th Feb 2014. The basic objective to organize this event was to provide platform to all young pharmacy students to show their talent and to inculcate the research attitude in the students that will help them in future growth. Under this Pharma Tech Fest we organized four events. The Pharma Tech Fest was inaugurated on 4th Feb at the hands of Mr. Shrenik Kole from Lupin Pharmaceuticals with his key note address on Research, Innovation and Invention. Welcome address was given by Dr. K.N.Gujar, Principal, Sinhgad College of Pharmacy, Vadgaon. Dr. S. D. Sawant, Principal, Smt. Kashibai Navale College of Pharmacy, Kondhwa and Dr. S. B. Bhise, Principal, Sinhgad Institute of Pharmacutical Sciences, Lonavala gave the Preamble of this event. Dr. C.R. Kokare, Principal, Sinhgad Institute of Pharmacy, Narhe was also present for the inaugural function.

First event was Out of Box- Innovative Advertisement Competition. Advertisement or marketing is one of the three main fields after graduation to develop the career. How students advertise specific product in effective manner was judged by experts Mr. Avinash Salunke, National Sales Manager, Nulife Pharmaceuticals and Ms. Priya Gupta, Founder Director, Peepal Tree Advertising Agency. Both the experts guided students about innovative advertisement and its importance in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Total 54 students participated in this event under 9 teams from different Pharmacy colleges. The Event was organized by STES's Sinhgad Institute of Pharmacy Narhe.

Second event was Logic to Magic- Industrial Trouble Shooting Competition organized by STES's Sinhgad College of Pharmacy, Vadgaon. Pharmacy is applied field Science based on Physics, chemistry and Biology. Students should require the knowledge of all fields and think to find the solution for problems in industry. Actual Problem was given to students on 4th Feb and solution of that problem was judged on 5th Feb. By Mr. Bhavesh Patel from Evonik India Pvt. Ltd. and Mr. Anand Patil from Lab India judged the event.

Third Event was Eureka- Research Project Competition. Students presented their research work in the form of oral and poster presentation. This event was organized by STES's Smt. Kashibai Navale College of Pharmacy, Kondhawa. Total 31 students participated under 14 teams. Dr. Sanjay Boldhane, from Abbott Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. and Dr. Santosh Patil from Advinus Therapeutic Ltd. were judges for this event.

The fourth event under Bravura 2014 was Simulation- 3D Model Making Competition. 3D Models of Pharmaceutical Instrumentation and its importance was the basic objective. This event was organized by STES's Sinhgad Institute of Pharmaceutical Science, Lonavala. Total 33 students participated under 12 teams. The event was evaluated by Dr. Bikash Aich from Aavaniva Boitech and Prof. C. L. Bhingare from MMM's College of Pharmacy.
Valedictory function
Valedictory function was scheduled on 6th Feb 2014. Chief Guest for the valedictory function was Dr. Sanjay Boldhane, Associate Director- Innovative Drug Delivery Research from Abbott Healthcare. Dr. S.B.Bhise, Principal Sinhgad Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, welcomed the participants for valedictory function. This was followed by a valedictory speech by Dr. Sanjay Boldhane where he highlighted on the requirements of Pharma industry. The results of all four competitions were announced by the respective Principal and prizes were distributed at the hands of Dr. Sanjay Boldhane and respective Principal. Winners of the competition received cash prize of Rs. 5000 along with a certificate. Runner up of the competitions received cash prize of Rs. 3000 along with a certificate. Certificate of appreciation was given to all the participants as well. The event ended with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Mrs. A.N. Ranade, Assistant Professor, Sinhgad College of Pharmacy and co-ordinator of Bravura-2014.
