NRI – Non Resident Indian:
An Indian Citizen who stays abroad for employment/ carrying on business or vacation outside India or stays abroad under circumstances indicating an intention for an uncertain duration of stay abroad is a non-resident. (Persons posted in U.N. organizations and officials deputed abroad by Central/ State Government and Public Sector Undertakings on temporary assignments are also treated as non-resident)

PIO – Person of Indian Origin:
A foreign citizen (other than a citizen of Pakistan or Bangladesh) is deemed to be of Indian Origin, if, i. he, at any time, held an Indian passport, ii. he or either of his parents or any of his grand parents was a citizen of India but virtue of the Constitution of India or Citizenship Act, 1956( 57 of 1955)

10+2/Intermediate/Senior Secondary/Higher Secondary/Pre-University Mark sheet & Certificate for all the undergraduate courses, specifically for Engineering and Architecture Courses aggregate 50% in Physics, Chemistry & Maths (PCM) and for Health Science courses aggregate 50% in Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB) is compulsory.
Admissions for NRI / PIO and Foreign students are routed through International Center, Savitribai Phule Pune University, India.

Yes, if the Student is from Non English speaking country has been granted admission to any of the courses after passing the qualifyingexamination from a Statutory board or Statutory University outside India will have to appear for the English Proficiency Test (EPT) conducted by the International Centre, University of Pune.

After receiving Firm letter of admission from Savitribai Phule Pune University the student has to report within 7 days to the Sinhgad International Students Centre’ office to confirm his/her admission and will have to make the full payment towards college fees
Hostel accommodation is provided on First come First serve basis. The Institute has luxurious self–sufficient hostel rooms (1000 in numbers) available. For International students, there is a separate boys and girls hostel with additional facilities such as Cooking aids, T.V., Washing Machine, Fridge, Intercom, Wi-Fi connectivity etc.
