1. Participation in the Book Fair is open to Booksellers and Publishers of Books
from any part of India.

2. Any thing that may disturb the peace and harmony of the exhibition will
not be allowed. Playing audio/video/games in the stalls is strictly prohibited. In case any complaint is received from the near by stalls, the system will be seized and action taken.

3. The Timings of the Book Fair must be strictly adhered to.

4. Booking of stalls will be on 'first come first served' basis and allotment of the stalls will be made by draw of lots. No preferential allotment will be made. Booking of wait listed firms will also be made by lot and announced.

5. Cancellation of stalls once booked will not be permitted and the rent remitted
will not be refunded.

6. All the Publishers/Booksellers/Firms participating in the fair must issue receipts for the sales at the Book Fair.

7. A minimum discount of 20% should be allowed on all books sold at the Fair.

8. Sub-letting or sub-leasing of the stalls is not allowed. If found, suitable action like cancellation of allotment / debarring / forcible vacating will be resorted to.

9. Pirated editions of books should not be sold.

10. Sale of items other than Books such as Stationery, Toys, Sports goods, Posters of leaders, Key Chains, Photographs, Festoons, Pooja materials, etc., will not be permitted in the book stalls.

11. Books and other items should be displayed by the participants within the stalls allotted to them. Display in the walkways and outside the stalls is not permitted. However, tables for billing purpose may be kept outside the stalls without disturbing the other stalls and pavement.

12. Hawking of books is forbidden at the Book Fair grounds.

13. Two complimentary passes (I.D. Cards) per stall will be issued to each participant. Extra passes, subject to the maximum of 2 per stall will be issued against payment of Rs. 20/- per pass at the Book Fair office. These passes are not transferable and should not be misused and should be carried at all times.

14. Rent collected is only for the stall in the Book Fair. However, as a good will gesture, clubbed / shared/unfurnished accommodation shall be provided free of cost to the extent feasible, subject to the availability. If the unfurnished accommodation provided does not suit the requirement, Publishers/ Book sellers may make their own arrangements for accommodation in which case,
they will have to make their own arrangements for travel to and from the Book Fair premises and Hotels.

15. Prior written permission from the organizing committee should be obtained by the participating firms for conducting any promotion schemes.

16. Reasonable arrangements for security will be made throughout the Book Fair period. However, the Organizing Committee will not be responsible for any loss suffered by the participants in case of burglary, pilferage, flood, etc., Participants should therefore, insure their exhibits, other materials and personnel adequately against all kinds of risk. Participants in their own interest should protect men and material properly in a befitting manner and they should not hold the organizing committee responsible for any eventuality later on.

17. Untoward incidents such as theft of books, unruly behavior of mob etc., have to be reported to security personnel and they will take appropriate action against them. Direct action by publishers against such incidents should be avoided.

18. Banners / Hoardings should not be displayed by participants in places other than the stalls allotted to them. In case they wish to display in places other than the stall area, the appropriate charges fixed by the Book Fair Committee for the same have to be paid.

19. The Participants must make their own arrangements for displaying their Name Boards within the place allotted to them.

20. Any kind of cooking is not permitted either within the stalls or places of accommodation.

21. The decision of the Organizing Committee in all matters pertaining to the conduct of the Book Fair will be final and binding on the participants.
