Compared to the situation in many
developing and least developed countries today, India
has a vast complement of educational institutions, educated
workforce and infrastructure which can compare with the
best in the world. Although since Independence, India
has attracted a large number of foreign students to its
shores for getting the benefit of the high quality of
education that it has to offer, the number has in the
recent past been rising steadily. This has mainly been
due to the highly liberalized environment in which Indian
educational institutions work and the quality, and cost
which is extremely attractive, when compared to the rest
of the world. This is a matter of great happiness for
us because it is an acknowledgement of India's superior
strengths in this noble field. And the quality of our
education is second to none, considering the record of
performance of some of the world's best Indian engineers,
software professionals, medical practitioners, engineers,
educationists, businessmen etc. who are all contributing
in no small measure to the development of the economies
where they are working.
At Sinhgad Institutes Pune, we are glad to welcome
our international student friends who can get to experience
not only a high standard of education, but also the
best in infrastructure at a cost which is a fraction
of the cost elsewhere. This is because we firmly believe
that education is a mission which must cross borders
and inspire people to achieve results for their country
and for the world. Nothing else can make as much of
an impact on development and progress of a country as
an educated citizen can. In this task, we at Sinhgad
Technical Education Society have decided to make a small
contribution through our fully equipped and competent
45 Institutes . We firmly believe that international
understanding can best be achieved by cross-fertilisation
of ideas among countries, which plants the seed of goodwill
towards peoples of other countries, faiths, beliefs
and cultures.
Our effort is to make our international friends at Sinhgad
Institutes, feel at home and to enable them to make
friends here so that the cultures of India and their
countries together make for a more friendly and considerate
world leading to everlasting peace between countries.
