The teaching staff of college attend various workshops, conferences, continuing nursing education programs etc. and the knowledge thus gained is not only beneficial for the staff, but the same is used to supplement the lectures for the students. The following events were participated in by the college staff recently

Workshop held on Medical and Educational Technology held from 3rd- 5th December 2007 at ESIS Hospital Aundh, Pune, was attended by Mr. Abhijeet Samudre and Ms. Vidya Yadav.
Workshop on update in Orthopedics and Orthopedic Nursing held on 3rd & 4th September 2007 at Bombay Hospital, Mumbai was attended by Mrs. J. D. Shirshetty.

National Conference of Society of Midwives of India was held from 3rd- 7th October 2007, at Ahmedabad GH College of Nursing on the theme “Midwives reach out to women wherever they live.” by Mrs. S. B. Sawant.

Conference on Current Concepts and Trends in Infection Control was held on 6th October 2007 at AFMC, Pune and was attended by Mrs. J. D. Shirshetty and Mrs. Reshma Salve.

National Conference on Oncology- Women’s Cancer organized by Nurses’ Association of India was held on 11th and 12th May 2007, at Tehmi Grant Institute of Nursing Education and was attended by Mrs. J. D. Shirshetty.

Continuing Nursing Education on nursing management of Myocardial Infarction, Diabetes Mellitus, Chronic Renal Failure etc have been attended by the students and staff members of our college at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital.

In service Education on role of Allied Health Systems- Reiki, was held at Sinhgad College of Nursing for all teaching staff members on 4th July 2007. Mr. J. Shende was the Expert Consultant for this session and provided insight on scope of Reiki in modern day health care to all present.
