Every day there is tremendous increase in population. The
demand for basic need like food, clothing, shelter & medicine
is increasing in that proportion. Today pharmaceutical industry
is growing very fast. Today the world pharma market is $ 700
billion & Indian Pharma Market is $ 7 billion. It is knowledge-based
industry. The demand for working personnel in pharmaceutical
industry is also increased. Particularly, there are ample
job opportunities for D.Pharm students in marketing fields.
There are new avenues for D.Pharm student in General Insurance
Companies –laboratory tests etc at the time of claim.
There are many job opportunities as hospital pharmacist in
hospitals & clinical pharmacies.
The Sinhgad College of pharmacy (Poly), Vadgaon has founded
with the objective of creating well educated, well versed,
well-informed, motivated pharmacist equipped with ultramodern
skills who can take care of health of societies with confidence
and zeal. It is the endeavor of this institute to create a

Besides pharmacy, STES run other courses too, like polytechnic
(Engg.), Management, Mass-communication, Engineering, Architecture
& many more. All disciplines work together & take
a path of prosperity in the light of education.
The SCOP (Poly) came to life in 2003 to impart necessary training
& skills to budding pharmacist. Experienced & expert
faculty gives shape to our students. Throughout the year seminars,
workshops, tours, visits to botanical garden & hospitals
along with other extracurricular activities are organized
for all round development of students.
Affiliation-SCOP (Poly) is affiliated to MSBTE, Mumbai (Examining
body), PCI (regulatory body). SCOP (Poly) is recognized by
the Govt. of Maharashtra, AICTE & PCI (Delhi).All norms
& conditions as per AICTE & PCI are fulfilled &
strictly followed to elevate the educational standards.
Teaching Methodology-
Besides regular classroom teaching, extra coaching, unit tests
& tutorials for weak students are conducted. Hospital
visit & medicinal garden visits are also arranged for
wider exposure to the field. |
