BUSINESS FORUM 2008

“Indian Industry, Moving from Good to Gr8”

PUNE: An annual  business seminar BUSINESS FORUM 2008, with the theme Indian Industry, Moving from Good to Gr8 ,was organized by the Department of Management, Sinhgad Institute of Business Administration and Research (SIBAR), Pune, on 2nd February 2008.

Business Forum had been an event that enlightened many aspects of business in varied sectors. This seminar had provided a forum for professionals from Industries, to share and disseminate their innovative and pioneering views about recent trends and developments in the areas of their expertise. The seminar covered almost all the sectors of business with an aim to establish and strengthen understanding among the young future managers, through the insight in each of the domain. It also revealed various complexities and intricacies involved in yet undiscovered fields of business.

The event was initiated by a grand inauguration ceremony and felicitation of the dignitaries. It witnessed the presence of many renowned personalities from the business arena.

The Guest  of honor  was Mr. Ranjit Gadgil, Finalist - Lead India Times of India Campaign. He emphasized the need of social responsibilities of the business. While focusing the real theme of the Business Forum 2008, he made a point that Indian industry can move from Good to Gr8 only if the common man in the society gets the benefit from the growth in profit of the businesses.

The seminar witnessed  five Panel Discussions during the day.

The day was concluded by a valedictory function. Chief Guest –Mr. Saurabh Gadgil, Partner PNG Group and Guest of Honour –Ms. Sunila Patil, Director-Strawberry Division of Kesari Tours Pvt Ltd. presided  over the function and awarded the winning teams of Chanakya 2008, “The bigger, better, tougher B-School Intercollegiate Competition”.
