Report on mITzvah 2007
The annual IT festival conducted by the MCA Department of Sinhgad
Institute of Business Administration and Research was scheduled on
6th and 7th of September 2007.
Activities on Day 1
Inauguration of mITzvah 2007
by Guest of Honour Dr. Nagesh Rajopadhye,Senior
Manager,Accenture,Pune.Other dignitaries present for the
inauguration were Mr. S.N. Navale,Mr Pratap Patil ,Maj Gen Harsh
Gangoli accompanied by event chair Dr.Arpita Gopal.
Session 1
Speech on SAP Project Management by Dr Nagesh Rahopadhye.
Audience Size: 350(student +staff+other dignitaries)
Session 2
Speech on Embedded Systems by Mr. Manan Panchal,Head of Embedded
Systems and Mobility Practice,Tech Mahindra.
Audience Size: 340(student +staff+other dignitaries)
Session 3
Speech on Wireless Technology by Prof. Aniruddha Joshi,Founding
Chief Investigator,
Centre for Information and Network Security,University of Pune.

Session 4
Speech on Security Concepts by Mr. Vikas Deo Shett, Dean,
Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited.

Session 5
Speech on IT Engineering Services by the Chief Guest, Mr Rajaraman
Macha, Vice President, Geometric Software Solutions,Pune.
Birds Eye View of Day 1
The first day saw many personalities from the field of academic,
and industry spokesperson as well.The sessions conducted by the
speakers were very interesting and enlightening. Many students
from colleges all over Pune attended these sessions.The audience
toll rose to 350 and the auditorium was filled up to its ultimate
capacity. The audience gave feedback on the excellent management
and execution procedure. Every session adhered to their exact
timings, were well monitored and rounded up. Maj.Gen. Harsh
Gangoli’s comment on the perfect organization of a the
mITzvah 2007 was boost to the entire staff and students. Special
appreciations came from the Industry spokespersons who were highly
impressed by the Planning ,Execution,Monitoring and Control of the
entire event.
Activities on Day 2
Programming Contest
Duration: 5 hrs
Participants: 108 teams (Each team comprising of 2 students)
Judge: Prof Jayant Patil of Modern College,Ganeshkhind.
Collage Design Contest
Duration: 2 hrs
Participants: 6 teams (Each team comprising of 2 students
Judge:Dr Vijaya Navale of Sinhgad College of Commerce and Dr
Madhuri ludbe
of
Smt Kashibai Navale College of Education.
Kwizz Contest
Duration: 5 hrs
Participants: 16 teams (Each team comprising of 2 students)
Case analysis contest
Duration: 2 hrs
Participants: 12 teams (Each team comprising of 2 students)
Judge: Prof Ritambhara Korpal and Prof. Reena Dalmia of SIBAR

Birds Eye View of Day 2
Students participated in great numbers and with great enthusiasm.
Overall 300 students had registered for different events of which
programming contest saw the maximum inflow with 216 participants
appearing in the elimination round. The students gave feedback on
excellent management and organization.The judges had
special words for the smooth conduction of the events
