The candidate should have passed in 10+ 2 examination with Physics & Chemistry as compulsory subjects with one of the following subjects mathematics/Biology & should have secured minimum 50% marks ( 45% for backward class candidates from Maharashtra State only) in physics, chemistry & Mathematics/Biology added together.

The candidate will however be required to qualify the entrance test in the subjects prescribed by the Competent Authority.

The weightage of the qualifying examination & the weightage of the score in the entrance test for preparing the merit list are decided by the competent Authority. During academic year 2005-06, the score in MHT-CET 2005 was only considered for preparing the merit list & the allocations were made strictly according to the CET score.

However, while filling up the vacant seats by the admission committee designated by the institute. The weightage was given for the marks scored by the candidate in physics, chemistry, Biology/Mathematics & accordingly the merit list were prepared, which was duly approved by competent Authority.
