GENERAL |
| |
The Rules & Information given
herein are applicable for admission to first year of
four year Degree Course in Pharmacy (F. Y. B. Pharm)
and direct second year B. Pharm. in Sinhgad Technical
Education Society's Smt. Kashibai Navale College of
Pharmacy, Kondhwa (Bk.), Pune 411048 for academic year
2007-08 for seats remaining vacant after three rounds
of allotment by Competent Authority through CAP. |

Definitions |
| |
• State Government
means the Government of Maharashtra.
• Management means Sinhgad Technical Education
Society, Pune.
• Director means the Director of Technical
Education, Maharashtra State, Mumbai.
• College means Smt. Kashibai Navale College
of Pharmacy, Kondhwa (BK.),
Pune 411048.
• Sanctioned intake means the number of
seats sanctioned for the B. Pharm course by Govt.
of Maharashtra with reference to AICTE's approval.
• Inter-se merit means the order of merit
as defined by the merit list.
• Candidate means an applicant who desires
to seek admission to first year of four
year Degree Course in Pharmacy.
• Persons of Indian Origin (PIO): Persons
who are citizens of other countries
(except Pakistan and Bangladesh) who at any time held
an Indian Passport, or who or either
of his/her parents or any of or Sec 2 (B) of Citizenship
Act, 1955 (Act No. 57 of 1955).
• Foreign Nationals: Citizens of all countries
other than India, who are not of Indian origin
as defined a under PIO.
• Foreign Student: Foreign Student on this
context shall be defined as the student who possesses
a foreign passport.
• Competent Authority means the authority
designated by Govt. of Maharashtra. |

Admission Authority |
| |
The principal shall be the Admission
Authority. All decisions taken in relation to admission
to first year B Pharm and Direct S. Y. B. Pharm for
the seats remaining vacant after CAP allotment round
by the Principal shall be final and binding. |

Sanctioned Intake |
| |
There shall be total 60 seats available
for admission to F.Y.B.Pharm. The seats available to
direct S. Y. B. Pharm shall clear after result of F.
Y. B. Pharm (2006-07). The break up of seats for various
quota shall as per directives of State Govt. or designated
Competent Authority. |

Eligibility criteria for admission to F. Y. B. Pharm |

2.1 a Maharashtra State and Outside
Maharashtra State Candidates:
Candidates should be an Indian National and should
have passed the HSC (Std XII) examination of Maharashtra
State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education
or its equivalent examination with subjects English,
Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Mathematics AND
secured minimum 50% marks i. e. 150 marks out
of 300 marks (minimum 45% marks i. e. 135 marks
out of 300 marks in case of candidates Backward class
categories belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the
subjects Physics, Chemistry & Biology/ Mathematics
added together (Maximum of marks obtained in Biology/Mathematics
shall be considered for the purpose of addition) AND
should have obtained non-zero score at MHT-CET-2007. |

2.1 b Candidates passing Diploma
in Pharmacy from Maharashtra State and OMS:
Diploma holders who have passed the Diploma Course
in Pharmacy with minimum of 50% from the Polytechnics
approved by AICTE in Maharashtra state or outside Maharashtra
State. |

2.1 c Foreign National/ Foreign
Student / PIO/ Children of Indian workers in the Gulf
countries / Children of NRI
Candidate should have passed the HSC (std. XII)
examination Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and
Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination
with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/
Mathematics and secured minimum 50 % marks i. e. 150
marks out of 300 marks in the subjects Physics, Chemistry
and Biology/ Mathematics (maximum marks obtained in
Biology / Mathematics shall be considered for the purpose
of addition).
Note:
• The eligibility of the candidate passing
the HSC (std. XII) or equivalent examination from a
school / College / Examination Board situated outside
India shall be further decided by the Pune University.
Hence such candidate are advised to get their eligibility
verified by the Pune University.
• Candidate seeking admission under the category
should apply to the University of Pune and obtain Provisional
Eligibility Certificate before seeking admission to
F. Y. B. Pharm.
• The candidates belonging to this category are
not required to appear for MHT–CET 2007. |

Eligibility criteria for admission to Direct
S. Y. B. Pharm. |

The candidate should have passed
in first class (first class with condonation, 60% of
aggregate marks) in post HSC Diploma course in Pharmacy
(as per ER- 91) from an institution approved by AICTE
from Maharashtra State or outside Maharashtra State.
