Subject: - Three days workshop on “Effective Teaching Skills” for Pharmacy Teachers of Sinhgad
Technical Education Society; Sept. 9-10, 2006 & Oct. 7, 2006.

Sir,
In view of increasing number of Pharmacy teachers in STES & need of periodic training on teaching skills by the experts, we have organized three days workshop on “Effective Teaching Skills” on Sept. 9-10, 2006 & Oct. 7, 2006 at our institute. Dr. (Mrs.) Viney Kirpal, Executive President of Global Research Education & Training Foundation & Former Professor & HOD of Humanities & Social Sciences, IIT, Mumbai shall be expert faculty conducting this workshop.

It is needless to mention that the workshop is aimed at improving teaching skills of teachers to further facilitate Teaching-Learning Process ultimately benefiting students at large. The details of the workshop are enclosed herewith. The participating teachers shall be provided course material, tea & lunch. These teachers shall be treated on duty leave & are required to travel on their own. Since the numbers of participants are restricted to maximum 25, following distribution of participating teachers from other five institutes of STES be followed as a guideline. After successful completion of the workshop, participants shall be given certificate of participation.

The participants are required to forward their names through their Principal on or before Sept. 4, 2006. You are therefore requested to bring the contents of this letter to the notice of teachers of your institute and depute interested teachers preferably those with less than 3/5 years of experience. Participants can obtain further details from the undersigned or Workshop Co-ordinator, Mrs. Ulka A. Mashruwala. (Cell phone: 9324097588). This workshop has administrative & financial sanction from the President of STES.
