Civil Engineering is a core branch of engineering field, which is having a wide range of applications in the practical world, some of which are construction of bridges, airports, dockyards, harbors, metros, sky scrapers, underwater tunnels, highways, multiplex malls, shopping complexes, business showrooms, dams, canals, industrial complexes, flyovers etc.
It contributes a nation to be recognized as developed nation by using the latest technologies. The Department of Civil Engineering has a very strong team of experienced and qualified faculty members, who are devoted and highly motivated to not only, teach academics but to groom the students for their all-round development. For the benefit of the students, the department organizes large number of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities such as site visits, project competitions, AutoCAD training programme, technical paper presentations, guest lectures on latest happenings, model making, and sports competitions, entertainment activities, art exhibitions, etc.
