The Department of Applied Sciences comprises Engineering Mathematics, Engineering Physics, Engineering Chemistry and Electrical Engineering.

The department started functioning right from the first day of the establishment of the college in the academic year 1996-97.

The department has well equipped physics, chemistry and electrical laboratories. It also has facilities like computer labs and a drawing hall which has a capacity to accommodate about 500 students.

The Department executes Mentor Scheme through which attendance and academic performance of students is monitored and the report is sent to the parents regularly. Student’s counseling meetings are conducted weekly.

The Department conducts unit tests, mid-term and prelim examinations to improve results. Different types of competitions, guest lectures are organized. The tireless efforts through remedial lectures are ocused on students who need special attention to add to the result improvement. The students from the department have secured rank positions in the university merit list.
