The department was established in the year 2011 with the objective of building a base for under gradates courses offered by the institute. The department is committed to build a strong foundation for the students to make them successful in this technological era.

Engineering Science is a multidisciplinary programme designed to integrate the sciences with areas of traditional Engineering such as research, design and analysis. A core of basic courses in mathematics, physics and chemistry forms the foundation of the curriculum. Typical areas include but are not limited to Fluid Dynamics, Solid Mechanics, Operations Research, Information Technology, Dynamical Systems, Environmental Engineering, Computational Engineering, Engineering Mathematics and Statistics, Solid-State Devices, Materials Science,

Electromagnetic, Nano science, Energy, Optics, etc. While engineering courses focus on application of established methods to the design and analysis of engineering solutions, engineering Science focuses on the creation and use of more advanced and experimental techniques where standard approaches are inadequate.

The Department has well equipped laboratories which enable faculty and students to employ fundamental principles to create innovative new technologies. Personal guidance & counseling sessions are provided to the students by the faculties.
