Title : Effectiveness of planned teaching on the knowledge and practices of mothers of children 0-5 years on prevention and management of Diarrhea

Abstract : In the present study, one group pretest posttest research design was used to assess the effectiveness of planned teaching on the knowledge and practices of mothers of children 0-5 years on prevention and management of diarrhea in selected urban slum area of Pune city. 30 mothers having children aged 0-5 years were selected as samples of the study using non-probability purposive sampling technique. Structured interview schedule & questionnaire were used to assess the effectiveness of the planned teaching on knowledge and practices of mothers on prevention and management of diarrhea. Descriptive and inferential statistics had been used for data analysis. The research was concluded with the planned teaching improved knowledge and practices of mothers on prevention and management of diarrhea.
