NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME

 

College organized 7 days camp from 15th Dec, 2016 to 21th Dec, 2016. At Sonapur, Tal Haveli, Dist.-Pune. 25 students were participated in special winter Camp. During the camp different activities were performed by N.S.S Volunteers.

  1. Cleaning of Roads and temple areas.
  2. Tree Plantation and tree save campaign.
  3. Health check up camp for villagers and school students.
  4. Cleaning awareness campaign through Street Play.
  5. Lecture series organized for villagers.
  6. Rally on Swatch Bharat Abhiyan in the village.

Traffic Awareness Programme:

 

In order to create awareness among the people regarding following the traffic rules, a programme on Traffic Awareness was organized by way of forming the human chain. This programme was jointly organized by Pune Police and the Educational Institutes in Pune. The Students of Sinhgad College of Arts and Commerce taking the oath to follow the Traffic rules.

Tree Plantation Program                                                       Blood Donation Camp

As a duty towards protection of environment, Sinhgad College of Arts and Commerce, Narhe, organized the ‘Tree Plantation Programme’ under NSS, on 8 th August, 2013 at Jabhulwadi village, in Pune district.  NSS volunteers of the college, under the guidance of college teachers and villagers planted 50 trees in the area of the village.

Sinhgad College of Arts and Commerce, organized a voluntary Blood Donation Camp, in the college premises on 7 th Oct 2013 under NSS.  Smt. Kashibai Navale General Hospital Blood Bank, Narhe, made all the necessary arrangement.  NSS volunteers worked very hard for the smooth functioning of the camp. Students of the college participated very enthusiastically and 42 students donated their blood. 

Special Winter Camp

SCOAC, Narhe, organized special winter camp at Malkhed Village, Pune for the period from 9-12-2013 to 15-12-2013. During this period, NSS volunteers contributed to the social work in the form of

  • Levelling of the school ground
  • Cleaning of Roads
  • Tree Plantation
  • Lecture Series for villagers
  • Health Check-up camp
  • Street play on gender discrimination
  • Bandhara costruction
