Farewell - Message from Principal, Sinhgad College of Pharmacy

• First of all I congratulate all the students of Final Year 2016-2017 for having completed your academic curriculum for getting decorated with graduation viz: B. Pharm. and also completed the University practical examinations. You were admitted in the Academic Year 2013-2014 and some of you might have admitted by lateral entries at S. Y. B. Pharm.


• It is to be noted that 1st graduation carries life time memories. Henceforth you will be proud alumni of almmator Sinhgad College of Pharmacy and respectable professional of Pharmacy.


• Your batch will be known for being 1st batch to follow the semester pattern/2013, later during 2015 semester pattern with credit and grading system was introduced. The yearly pattern of 2008 got discontinued from your batch.


• During your graduate studies the college has sought NBA accreditation and prestigious NIRF ranking with recognition under 2(f) & 12 (B) under UGC Act and several other events including student exchange programme with France.


• Your batch has taken Sinhgad Sports Karandak (SSK) and NEON at higher level and shown increased presence in Sinhgad Student Council with lead role in central activities.


• You have acquired knowledge and wisdom which will play very important role in self development, professional development and career development.


• Try further to take initiative for self development and self learning which is life long process.


• Develop your own venture with new ideas provided those are implemented.


• Idea - Proof of concept - proto type - pilot -Scale up.... commercialization


• Start up is booz word being discussed GoI has given strong push to start up to encourage entrepreneurship in India.There are several Departments under different ministries – DST-DBT- Department of Pharma etc. Those departments help at various level including funding, mentoring, incubation and acceleration, social innovation and entrepreneurship development. You shall visit all those websites. I would advice to get aquinted with various professional bodies including IDMA, IPA etc. and various National Institutes like NCL, NIV, NICC, ISSAR etc and keep watch on their perspectives.


• Let us identify unmeet needs of Society / niche areas by thinking out of box.


• Let us develop new platform to define new value chains.


• Develop habit to read journals and news paper and update your database and information time to time.


• I hope you will develop competency to play important role in the National mission declared by GoI, Make in India, Digital India and Clean India.
